April’s mantra – Think Local! Act Local!
Community Days in the One Colorado Courtyard
With events that were good for the mind, body and spirit
Every Tuesday morning, we had courtyard yoga for the little ones (ages 2-5). It was a pure delight seeing the younger set’s creative down dogs (or would that be down puppy?). On Thursdays, we helped folks breathe into their day with pre-work “Morning Yoga: Focus & Flow”. Yoga classes were taught by instructors from mobile yoga company Chakra 5. We developed yoga followers, young and not as young, and their practice diligence was rewarded with an end-of-series raffle giveaway. Namaste to that!
In April, we also hosted beautiful music to soothe the soul with Brown Bag Baroque lunchtime concerts, in partnership with the Pasadena Symphony and Pops Random Acts of Music. We look forward to bringing these concerts back to One Colorado! Stay tuned, so to speak.
In celebration of our courtyard community library, April saw the launch of our new One Colorado Book Club in Partnership with Vroman’s Bookstore. The Vroman’s staff pick for our debut book was Britt-Marie Was Here by New York Times bestselling author Fredrik Backman. In addition to the book, our Book Club pals got a swell One Colorado canvas book bag and hand-procured goodies to savor whilst enjoying their good read.
We extended our digital community to include an Instagram takeover with Elizabeth Keene, A Keene Sense of Style. Local Pasadena fashion and beauty influencer, Ms. Elizabeth Keene spent a weekend sharing her unique boutique experiences at One Colorado. You can share in her experience here.
