December events at One Colorado
The crowd pleasing Leftover Cuties kicked in the Holiday season with a swinging concert under the (California) chilly night sky. And on December 10th, guests enthused in our Holiday Open House, with individual in-store events and never-ending happy hours imagined for this cheerful night. The One Colorado alleys were invigorated with hand bell choirs ringed our chimes, The Haiku Guys making poetic magic all served up with cocoa and Dots mini-cupcakes. We also hosted free giftwrapping with the Pasadena Jaycees, plus a One Colorado tote bag giveaway. The rain held itself at bay long enough for the upbeat Dead Winter Carpenters to take the stage and jam out some crowd-warming tunes.
In the spirit of giving, our Union Station Homeless Services coffee drive brought in many pounds of Joe, and guests penned over 100 well-wishes for our Union Station Holiday Card a Thon. Thank you thank you to everyone who contributed! You all will bring some well-deserved cheer to folks who could really use it.
And Santa was, as always, the Man of the Hour as he sat for photos in his new digs in Smith Alley. Pet Day was a particularly tail wagging good time with a good turnout of pets and pooches sitting on Santa’s lap.
