Valentine’s Day Sweets to make with your Sweetie!

Valentine’s Day 2020 is around the corner and our sweet tooth is already tingling for treats decked out in pink and red frosting with heart-shaped sprinkes and candies!

Bake these sweets with your kids or for your valentine or galentine, bffs, boss, and anyone you want to show a little love to this V-Day. Baking is always special when it comes to Valentine’s Day (or any other holiday) since it’s truly made with love. Place these treats in a heart shaped box and wrap with pink and red ribbons for extra love.

Fudgy, gooey, Valentine’s M&M Brownies are guaranteed to put a smile on your Valentine’s face! You’ll start by mixing your wet and dry ingredients in separate bowls and combining them together. Next, fold in the chocolate chips and pour the mixture into a pan. Sprinkle as many red & pink M&Ms on top as your heart desires. You’ll bake the brownies for about 30 minutes before letting cool and cutting them into square or hearts using a cookie cutter.

Valentine Petit Four’s will have everyone falling in love! You’ll need a mini heart pan to create these mini cakes. You can either use a boxed cake mix or make the batter from scratch. If you’re using the mini heart pan, your cakes should be ready in about five minutes. While the cakes are in the oven, make the glaze by combining powdered sugar, corn syrup and almond extract in a double boiler until smooth. Dip one half of the cake into the frosting and decorate with Valentine’s heart sprinkles!

If you’re more of an experienced baker, these Pink Party Donuts are pink, shaped as hearts and covered in sprinkles. They give us all the feels! Whisk together ingredients for the donuts, making sure the batter is very thick. Pipe the batter into donut cups (heart-shaped is a must) and bake until lightly browned. While the donuts are cooling, whisk the glaze until smooth. Dip the donuts into the glaze, add sprinkles and serve to your Valentine!

Loving these Cupid Bites for your boss or co-workers. Start by beating the butter, sugar and vanilla extract until creamy before adding flour and salt. Mix the dough until smooth and stir in Valentine’s colored nonpareils. Transfer the dough onto a parchment lined sheet pan and press evenly into the bottom of the pan. Cut the dough into small squares before baking for about 15 minutes. Place the Cupid Bites into a mug or heart-shaped bowl and wrap with cellophane as a sweet gift!

Conversation Heart Sugar Cookies are perfect to bake with the kids! Make your favorite sugar cookie recipe and pop the dough into the freezer for about 30 minutes. The colder your dough is, the easier it will be to make heart shapes. Once your cookies are baked and cooled, let the kids decorate them! There’s no shortage of fun colored icings and sprinkles to make it extra fun!
