One Colorado’s bringing summer music back to the courtyard this August with our Thursday and Saturday Night music series. We’ve got bands that will make sure your bone shake and your feet move, with sounds that range from Brazilian, R&B, blues to French & more. Shows are free and all ages. Seating is open and limited; standing acceptable and dancing is highly encouraged! Come early and grab a drink at the pop-up bar, or settle in for dinner at one of our courtyard restaurant patios with great views of the stage.
Founded in Paris, the duo focuses their expertise towards the development of each composition. Laïka carefully crafts melodies and words while Christopher Thomas shape soundscapes to lay Laïka’s stories upon, skillfully mixing images of the creators: free, eclectic, baroque, cinematic, and flawless. This is the alchemy of the duo.
With influences ranging from Messe Pour le Temps Present composed by Pierre Henry for Béjart’s ballet, original soundtracks like Francis Lai’s Le Voyou, Pieces by Daniel Baremboïm with Jacqueline Du Pré, and Purcell by Alfred Deller” to the modern day echoes of Bjork, allured elements of Portishead and journeys to places reminiscent of Radiohead, Laïka & The Unit have created a collection of songs that explore an in-depth look into our soul. Black is the Color sets the tone of the group.
